Steering Committee Lead for Career Compass Learning Plans
Providing ongoing quality training to staff on leadership & skills, I developed the project charter & scope management plan to meet the needs of stakeholders in developing learning/training plans for staff.  Using integration, time, human resource managements, I built training plans & define roles/responsibilities, especially leadership.  Then I facilitated presenting training & participating in delivering deliverables.  I monitored and supervised delivery of training and quantified results, while creating historical documents & archiving final presentations to stakeholders.

Additional Projects
Richard Branson once said, “Learn to use your brain power.  Critical thinking is the key to creative problem solving.”  I have been able to study how I learn while building a family history website.  I furthered that information in creating a secondary educational website.  I have been managing an eight week project introducing Family History and helping define why and how to start.  To the left is my intro section of that.  The full list of these eight lessons and the review are listed at the end of this column.

This creative thinking and problem solving came about because I have a love of family history and genealogy ever since I started scrapbooking my own history in high school.  The problem that I have run into is that I have all this wonderful information collected and digitized from my family I grew up in and my ancestors back for several generations, but I am the only one with all of this data.  I decided that creating a website was the best way to go.  My pedigree information and family pictures and stories are now on their own website at www.BridgeMix.weebly.com!

I collaborated on a project to create a website for secondary students and teachers to use to understand and have help with research.
www.Rebels-Research.weebly.com became an easy tool for teachers to build their lesson plans and a fun way students to reference what they learned in class when they are at home trying to remember how to do their assignments.   From this opportunity I have learned additional tools on this website builder that open new avenues of sharing the information in an organized and informative way.

Learning Management System
Canvas course on Family History for Beginners that I put together using 11 sources.  This includes the basic steps for getting stared in family history, starting from your own history and the family around you back through the generations.
You must sign up in order to access it, that is the only way it works through Canvas.

This Real World Pitch was to the Career Services Department at Utah State University.  Career Services has so much to offer USU students and alumni but their web pages are difficult to find and navigation is hard to understand.
We offer some suggestions based on User Research to make this process easier.  We also had a great Design Brief for this project.

Redesign of these 2 websites was for usability/simplicity.  First, evaluated feasibility, identify key stakeholders, Interviewed/survey audience and defined project scope.  Next defined roles, responsibilities, communication plan. Identify risks; requirements, constraints, assumptions.  Executed by ensuring understanding, improved team performance through cohesiveness, storyboard & built.  Monitored that deliverables conformed to the project quality plan. Finally, formalize/obtain final acceptance, archived records, and release resources/performance feedback

Elearning Brothers Templates and Resources
You can add a game, add an intro, create a killer PowerPoint, or use a template to start something new.  This is Articulate Storyline, using a template from ebrothers and many graphics from ebrothers too.
No link on this one, it was a limited use access.

Articulate 360 and Storyboard
I created a lesson to teach other students how to use these services, demonstrating how to use them and what their best features are.

Vyond
I had a lot of fun playing with Vyond using quite a few features.  I found the editing features were similar to many video editors.  The tin-like voices are not ideal, but it was fun to try that out rather than doing voice over.
The license on this software expired, unfortunately, and the couse was lost.

Camtasia
I really liked that the editing software was familiar from using other editing softwares for video.  I also like that you can add as many lines as you'd like, unlike other software I have worked with.  This is another video I created following a girl (yes, that's me) from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to Orem, Utah over the course of many years.  It is in the form of a video montage.

Adobe Captivate
This PowerPoint is not in Captivate but describes how to use this system in creating a lesson plan or presentation.  The project I am managing for Family History studies is mostly in Captivate for interactivity.  I will post it here as I complete it this semester.

Video Scribe and PowToons
I created a couple of presentations in PowToons for scholarship entries.  I like this whiteboard drawing as you go feature, not demonstrated here as something I have used for other projects.
